It is amazing how putting fabric into a shape, totally transforms the way it looks. This print is really bright and fun, but I was not too sure what it would look like once it was put into a shape. As soon as I started cutting out the pattern, it turned into a super cute print.
This took me about a half a day to complete. It is one of the more advanced items in Lotta Jansdotter's book Simple Sewing, but I totally appreciated the challenge. The most difficult things for me was putting in the tiny pleats at shoulders of the apron and keeping the straps inside while sewing the solid yellow to the print.
Ya know, I may just wear this with a sweater jacket, jeans and a t-shirt one day.... just watch!
