Surely, I cannot be the only one who may have done a full out jaw drop when I saw the ad inserts in one of the many magazines I get a month for the
Gap brand Jean Leggings. With my shopping ban coming to an end, I have started letting myself fantasize about what my first purchase might be. To be honest, and I think I have said this before, but my weight fluctuates a lot in the summer. Mostly because I'm wearing flowy dresses and I cannot physically put my legs into pants because its just way too hot. I forget the fact that all those cold beers may be making their way to my midsection. Hopefully this transitional period into fall that won't happen as I've been working out like crazy to the
Jillian Michaels - 30 Day Shred
. I am starting to see some results which is great. Okay enough about my current obsession with working out.
I already own one pair of denim leggings (or ya know jeggings). I love the way they feel and how super stretchy they are. But mine are a little tight in the waist. I am pretty sure that jeggings are going to be the first things I buy when it comes to the lifting of the ban.
But this also brings up a good question. After taking a year long sabbatical from shopping, what would your first purchase be? It is interesting to think about.
Shoes. Or a really nice new vintage dress! :)

ReplyDeleteIf I didn't shop for a year my first purchase would probably be a bunch of shirts from Express. Don't judge me, they make pimp stuff. Except for their pants. You know how I feel about skinny jeans for men.
The 30 day shred is awesome, even though Jillian gets a little annoying.
ReplyDeleteThat's a tough question. I've never been on a year long shopping ban so I have no idea what I'd desperately want! I'd probably just really want to spend the money wisely. I think a pair of uber comfy "jeans" is a very smart decision, and something that will last!
ReplyDeletewhere have i been this is the first i've heard of these! are they stretchy jeans or something different? I'll have to check them out, they seem right up my alley. Sometimes I get so sick of how binding jeans can be and i hate when they stretch out half way through the day and get really baggy, this could be the perfect cure!

ReplyDeleteI've been so intrigued by jeggings. I was going to try on a pair this weekend while shopping, but decided against it, since I'm not willing to give up on the flowy dresses and comfy shorts of summer.
