Ch-Ch-Changes

I have an idea.  I want to redesign my blog.  I have worked on a few graphics to simplify and de-clutter my sidebars, but I have been putting it off.  I feel like if I blog about it, it will cause some sort of accountability to rise and I will update my blog design.  If you see me lazying around this weekend, watching No Reservations on Netflix, please stop me.  I'm motivated but its like being motivated to build an igloo.  I can make ice... but I can't make a house.  I can pick out colors and size things, but it is a lot of work for me to design something.  Redesigning a blog is like an igloo?  Can you tell it has been a long week?

I must say something exciting happened earlier this week.  During our all staff meeting, I was introduced to my peers and colleagues.  It was also announced that I have a blog.  So, hello to everyone reading this because you heard about it at staff meeting!  It is pretty amazing that this amazing university is supportive and excited about my blog.  I think it just makes me even more excited about it!

Finally, can we talk about Tree and Kimball?  These earrings are made by Tree and Kimball.  A portion of my purchase went to help Japan.  Not only was I excited to give, I have been eye-ing this pair of earrings for a while now.  I like to think that the blue of the earrings and my eyes are the same color.  Definitely check out more of her collection because it is beautiful, unique, and hand-made.

Dress: Gap
Earrings: annie, Tree and Kimball
Shoes: hand me downs

Do a dance, skip down the hall, throw your hair in a ponytail... it is Friday.

  6. my blog is getting ridiculously cluttered as well, but I'm too lazy to clean. Also, I have emotional ties to all the things in my sidebar, I can't say goodbye :(

love that dress, such a simple, classic piece that allows you to shine :) speaking about shine: your hair is supershiny <3

thanks for your sweet comment :) I was very conscious about not just saying something stupid or superficial, since it is such a huge, deep problem. I don't think I have the knowledge to get to the bottom of this issue at all, but I can at least try.

  8. First - yay blog changes!! I need some inspiration to make a couple small changes of my own. I've been thinking about getting the Adobe creative suite and learning how to use it - both for my own personal edification and for the benefit of my blog design. Also, I think it's great that you're so open about your blog. I know this sounds silly, but at my old job I was TERRIFIED that people would find out about my blog and start reading it. I shouldn't be embarrassed about things I enjoy, but I was worried they wouldn't understand and would be judgmental.

  10. I see the changes went well! Congrats, sometimes it takes a little push to actually get it done. I don't remember the last time I updated mine, but I'm sure I've forgotten all the little tricks I learned by now.

Lisa is the best! So glad you bought the earrings and are loving them. She's such a great lady and is truly talented. It's a good thing you look so fantastic in them too.
