Living for the Sun

Last week I told myself that I was going to start on a weekly routine of picking up my house, doing my chores little by little over the week.  Yeah, that hasn't happened.  Every night this week I have gone straight from work to hanging out with Sam or friends.  I'm craving a night of rest, where I can make me house feel more like home than just a place to hold my stuff.

I'm curious to see how much longer I will be able to take pictures at sunset.  I love fall but it also feels me with dread of the winter to come.  I am such a sun light junkie.  I think this set of shots definitely captures that.  This is such a cool little spot and its just across the street from where I park!

I have had this grandpa dolman sleeved sweater for three years.  It is usually just the sweater I throw on to feel comfy and cozy in my house, or when I walk out the door to run errands or something.  Throwing a belt over it and cinching it up made the outfit though.

Sweater: Covet, Nashville Clothing Company
Dress: Gap
Necklace: family heirloom
Belt: Target
Tights: Urban Outfitters
Boots: Anthropologie

I've made the resolution to dole out my chores little by little over the course of the week about 5 times this year ... even set up a reminder notification on my phone to let me know what I planned to do each evening. Yeah, still not sticking to it. Oy.

Those tights with the boots are simply dead cool!

  7. Ohh, love the sunset lighting! Great outfit too! So chic, I know that's cheesy but it's exactly how i'd describe it, ok?

Last night I cleaned my apt for 2 hours. If you saw the size of it, you'd probably laugh that it took me that long. it's probably the equivalent to cleaning your closet.

Anywho, thanks for your comment today! I think you're actually MORE excited for me than my own mother.

  10. Loving the tights. I am also a light junkie. When the lighting isnt right it ruins everything, and I throw a solo hissy fit. True story.

  14. Love it! I really like the combo of simple top and long, fancy pendant necklace. And it's a little strange, but the color of the boots and belt mixed with that great light really brings out the copper in your hair! :)
