Who ffant? Bouffant!

I look like a blonde Zooey Deschanel here don't I?  Because someone asked me, no I'm NOT wearing a bump it.  I did however tease my hair in order to get this look.  I am not really sure why I went the whole 60s girl route, but I really liked it.  I felt incredibly polished and even a little sexy, but still completely work appropriate.  I even went out to a show last night and didn't change a single thing about what I was wearing!

I also may have spent a little too much time on my eyeliner, causing me to have a hurried/forgetful day.  I am looking forward to Labor Day on Monday.  My dishes are piling up and I feel like if I don't have time to stop here in a few days, I may totally crash.

Navy shirt dress: Gap
Camel belt: Target
Jade bracelet: family gift
Plaid shoes: DSW

Notes on my overall look:
Hair: Teased the crown with a boar bristle brush, smoothed over and pinned to create lift, lots of hair spray, one day without washing
Makeup: Used my everyday foundation routine.  Used mark. On the Edge Liquid Eyeliner in Cleo to create think liquid eyeliner line on upper lid.  Smudged brown along lower lash lines, and topped upper lashes in black mascara.

  5. I can't believe how long your hair is these days! That's what I've been working towards for the past 2 years, but my hair grows so dang slow. You look STUNNING in these photos. You're beautiful. :)

  7. This look REALLY suits you. I could totally see you stepping in for Zooey at her next She & Him show, and fitting in gloriously.

  11. I like the bump-it like look...even if you're not wearing an actual bump-it. You did a great job on the bouffant...you 60s kitten you!
I like the eyeliner too, of course.
But man, I'm so jealous that you can actually get your hair to look that cool without washing it for a day...my hair is so freakin baby fine if I dont' wash it every single morning its an oil slick of flat nightmares by midday.
