Pirate Radio

Do you ever feel like, maybe you weren't meant for this time period?  When you compare the drama/saga that was the 90's, it feels like cold coagulated eggs when it comes to the 1960's.  Nothing makes me wish I lived in the 60's more than... the music.  I recently had the chance to watch a movie that captures so much of the beauty of the 60's and is just a damn good movie.  Pirate Radio.  Check out the trailer if you haven't already.

PS - The reason I've been somewhat absent is because I started a temp job.  I have to leave my house by 7:10 am, and just haven't had a chance to snap up my awesome business casual outfits.  Soon my lovelies, soon.

  2. oh i meant to say that i was raised so much on the music of the 60s because my parents were high schoolers/college students in the 60s, so i agree, the music rocks!

  3. I'm very glad I wasn't around in the 1960s as an adult - I always had access to the birth control method of my choosing, even as an unmarried woman. I happened to get married shortly before my 21st birthday, but it was my choice, not what was expected of me. There are still many civil rights issues in America, but I'm grateful I don't have to turn on my TV and see black children getting hosed. I'm glad there are vegetarian, vegan, and non-processed food items available for purchase these days, and that we don't have a draft, as terrible as both wars are.

The music and clothing from that era was great, but that's what's even more amazing about living in 2010 - we can still listen to it and wear the clothes without facing the oppressive social structures of that time period.
