Electric Cowboy in the Afternoon
I would like to say for the record, I am keeping up with my must list. I have worn heels at least once a week every week since I started that thing. Yesterday I paired this preppy and casual skirt with some sky high black patent leather heels (not pumps because pumps are comfortable actually). Today, I want a pedicure but thinking that might be dumb because of the blisters I got from wearing these shoes. Oh the things we go through to look chic... I wanted to look a little more dressy because I was meeting up with some friends for $5 martini happy hour at Eastland Cafe.
This shirt is pretty famous because its the shirt from all my profile pictures. I love it too. It is so bright and brings a lot of great color to my face. It reminds me of a shirt my mom had back in the 80s. The funny thing about this shirt, the name on the tag is 80's electric cowboy. The skirt on the other hand is one of those items that you have in the back of your closet and you keep it because its just classic? I knew it had been a while since I had last worn it because both my roommate and Sam said, "Where did that skirt come from?" Well, when I worked at Gap five years ago, I bought this skirt with my employee discount. I am glad I never sold it or gave it away because I finally get the chance to pull it back out of my closet and give it some new life.

Also, a HUGE thank you to Apryl at 365daygirl for featuring Alyson Is Neat today on her blog! I was so excited to see it come up in my RSS feed this morning! I feel like Apryl writes about my whole life. Her blog is an excellent combination of fashion and style, as well as, SEO and online marketing. Go give her some love!

Super cute! Love that skirt!! Your title actually got my attention because of the club chain in Texas called Electric Cowboy haha! I was like, they're open in the afternoon now?! Ahh, that's the head cold talking :(
ReplyDeleteAmazing. I have definitely been swayed to purchase thrift finds because of their tags. (I picked up a sweater for the shop this week; brand name: Italian Mob. How great is that?)
ReplyDeleteAlso, tht last photo of you is pure sass. It's a combinations of "Hey girl, hey!" and "who me??" What I am trying to say is, it's a good look on you.
SO cute - one of my fave outfits you've ever done!
ReplyDeleteI love love love love that shirt! I hear you about blisters I spend the evening soaking in a big old tub after spending the day running around down town Chicago in heels, poor poor idea!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty. I'd never think to mix such a vibrant shirt with a neutral bottom, but it looks great!
ReplyDeleteI want to put my hand up her skirt
