Perfectionnement cheveux fille française

(Perfecting French girl hair)

Several years ago, when I first watched the Science of Sleep I didn't get it.  However, over the years the more I have watched it the more I have become fascinated with all things French.  One night while I couldn't fall asleep I was perusing the how-to videos on luckymag.com and ran across one identifying French girl beauty.  There is something about it that is so effortless.  The imperfect perfection of "I just rolled out of bed looking like this, and I went out on my balcony to smoke a cigarette" is the type of look I was going for here (minus the smoking a cigarette).  I followed the instructions in the video below to attain somewhat the sense of French girl beauty.

I kept my outfit simple and effortless.  I finally found the striped shirt of my dreams.  Perfect weight, perfect cut, perfect price!  I went with a pencil skirt to make it look polished, yet tried to keep as much unkempt-ness into the look.
Striped top: Lands' End Canvas (seriously in love)
Pencil Skirt: Hand me down from Tori
Black socks: American Apparel
Scarf: umm... I can't remember.
Boots: Anthropologie

PS- I often get a lot of comments about my glasses when I wear them.  I actually have to wear glasses, but they are still rather new to me.  I didn't have to start wearing glasses until 2 1/2 years ago when my eyesight started to get bad.  When I am just hanging out, I don't have to wear them but if I am driving, working, reading... then I must.  They are Ray Bans style number 5162.  I think the color is named Espresso Tortoise Shell?

Don't forget... Today is the last day to enter my giveaway from Shabby Apple.  Remember you have 9 chances to win this!
